Pure Love, Pure Joy

John 16:21 ESV
"When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world."

Remembering my two pregnancies, I was unprepared and un-expecting Kamalee.  Both with the news of her and of her birth.  I had many sorrowing and sick months, but then she arrived 3 weeks early. So when I went full term with Jayse, it felt as though I was much overdue.  That last months seems to drag on and on as though you will never get to meet the precious kicker inside of you.  But then that wonderful, most amazing moment arrives and all previous sorrows, anxieties and fears rush away because a joy and love like no other come flooding in.  It is a moment you can feel and remember, forever.

The birth of my two children are the greatest moments of my life.  If you are not a mom, the feeling is indescribable.  It is truly is a miracle to grow life and bring them into this world.

Over Christmas vaca, I got be on the other side of this miracle.  I witnessed my sister give birth to a beautiful baby boy.  Thank you for allowing me to be a part of his birth, Becky.  This is another moment I will remember all my life.

Please meet, my nephew, Xander Joe.
He arrived weighing 9lbs. 7.5ozs. and was 20 inches long.
Simply amazing.

My favorite moment.  Baby meets momma.  The most comfortable place in the world.

 The proud angler

So relaxed.

Pouting at 5 minutes old...fits right in!

Love this.  I think I have a very similar photo with one of my kids.
