30 hours, 8 months - 1 Week and 6 years

It seems like yesterday, but so far away, at the same time.

It took 8 months - 1 week of constant nausea, endless vomiting, and back aching pregnancy.
Plus, 30 hours of labor to meet this sweet, beautiful girl....

9-3-08

So much has happened and changed since that day.  A single moment completely changed our world.  Our first child arrived prematurely and with more life-changing news than we could have ever imagined.  This tiny, but somehow still very chunky, princess has given us a whole new look at life.  And today we celebrate her as she continues to bless us on the 6th year of her life.

Happy birthday, my beautiful daughter.
I love you more than words can say.

A glimpse of the party....

Her first look at the party setup....

AND...wardrobe change!  A princess must dress for the occasion.

No artificial dye at a party is ridiculous, boring, stupid, impossible tough.  But we made it work.  Sadly, her cake didn't quite go as hoped...but who cares when you get cake?!?!  She had 4 pieces. :)
I didn't get close ups...but the food labels were adorable, if I do say so myself.  The one on the punch said "SnowCap Punch", another "It's crazy, we finish each others SANDWICHES", "Melted Olaf" for the yogurt and "Olaf in Summer" floating in the jello, which was supposed to be blue!  And the cheese sticks had Olaf faces on the outside.

 Showing off Olaf.

 Really getting into it!

 Love his face.

Kindergarten

People always ask "where does the time go?" when they look back on the journey of their kid's lives.  I totally get it.  I sent my baby on her way to Kindergarten today.

While we have been through so much and overcome more than most kids do in their whole childhood, it feels like such a short while ago that we welcomed her to the world.
Thank you Auntie Becky for the awesome lunch pal.  She loved it and kept saying "my lunch", "my school lunch".  :)
 Waiting for the bus...

We met her at school to get her off the bus, find and meet her morning para and walk her to her classroom.  She was excited to see Dad at school, but didn't really want us to come inside. :)  She was ready to just get to it.  That's my big girl.  So proud.  And it made momma happy so she didn't even cry!

I can' t wait to see what she learns this year!

Along with Kindergarten, I sent my actual baby off to daycare.  I couldn't manage to do it so I sent him with Justin.  He said he didn't want to stay and he left him crying! :(  This was pretty hard on momma.

BUT...the sitter texted me at work to say he enjoyed walking the big kids to the bus and sent me some photos
LOVE THEM!
